Anyone else have a sticky SolidWorks running on XP-64bit

I just started to run SolidWorks 2007 on a new machine I got for running FEA.

Dual Quad cpu Xeon Model 5430 2.66GHz
8 GB RAM
PNY Model 570, 256mb video

It wants to hanging on like every other mouse click. If you look at the task master it will tell you program not responding. Then in a few seconds it will kick in and work.

Any thoughts.

Tunneling Tom,

This may sound like a stupid question, but do you have the 64 bit version of SolidWorks installed?

Yes it loads automatically depending on witch operating system you are using. Of course that is if they support it. For instance SolidWorks doesn't support Vista 64. So it tells you so. Was still a good question.

Tunneling Tom,

Are you using a Microsoft mouse with the intelli point software? If so this could be an issue

Are the files that you ware working on located on your local drive or on a networks drive?

Yes it's a Microsoft mouse, but I don't see where its using Intelli point. But it could be. Its a new wireless one so that sounds like a good lead, and a ease one to check out. I've got several standard mice and keyboard around.

Thanks
Tom

Thanks! It was Intelli point and I removed and reinstalled the latest driver and that seamed to fix it.

SolidWorks supports Vista X64 starting with 2008 Service Pack 3.1...
