Hi there !
I joined this forum today.

I'm trying to import stp file into UGNX.When I import stp file, UG file is a assy file with children.I don't want assy file.I want after step to ug conversion, one single file with may be many solid bodies and not assy file with children.

Any help please.

Thanks

Exporting the step result via Export > Parasolid and re-importing the Parasolid in a new file would do the work ;-)

....or you could just save the assembly then import each part into one of the component files.

in the step import options you can "flattern" the assembley

nkwheelguy,toniechang- Actually I'm making std. parts library. So there are many stp files.Importing each file was time consuming as well as error-prone.
Thanks for the tip.

uwam2ie- I was working in NX. There is no option to flatten assy in NX. But it's there in NX2. So I followed:

stp--to--NX2(with flatten assy)---to--stp--to--NX

Thanks again to all of you.
