Steel Floor Plate Analysis

Does anyone know of a good reference for analyzing steel floor plate supported by steel beams? The plate is subjected to uniform and point loading conditions. For the particular case I am evaluating the plate is simply supported along the long edge of the plate and free on the short edges. Roark's book does not have formulas to cover this condition or for multiple point loads close to each other.

I don't understand whether you have separate instances of uniform and point loads, or whether you have them combined in one floor plate. As far as specific "in-print" type of references with plates loaded with o-o-p point loads - there aren't many.

For uniform load you can just look at a unit strip and use:
M = w(L^2)/8
deflection = w(L^4)/384EI

For the point loads: FEA is probably best and quite easy to model in this case. Otherwise you could use estimate an effective width for the point loads:

Then use superposition if the uniform and point loads are acting on one plate concurrently.
