steel 1010 loss curve

Hi all,

I,m looking for Iron loss curves vs frequency at different magnetic flux density of steel 1010(AISI 1010),if anyone has any information about this problem please help me.( there is no any information about loss curve for steel 1010 in the internet. just found B-H curve of steel 1010.)

AISI 1010 steel is not processed for magnetic properties so it is pretty rare to find magnetic measurements for it. In addition, the magnetic properties will vary from batch to batch. Heat treatment will play a significant role too.

I would suggest you pay to have a sample tested in the lab. One good place to start:

The main reason one can hardly find core losses data is because this material (if used for magetnic applicaitons) is normally for DC applications. The core losses will be very large due to its low electrical resisitivity and so high eddy current losses.
 
Unless you operate at very low field levels the losses will be huge.
Take data from a B-H curve and assume that the H at frequency is no worse (though it will be).
Now base your losses on those values.
You will see why this material is not used for AC applications.
