Dear all,

I am using FEMM for doing some calculations and I am looking for the B-H curve of 26 NiCrMoV 14 5, a material that is commonly used for generator rotors. I found that it is equivalent to ASTM A470. On the Internet it is easy to find the mechanical properties, but not the magnetic properties. I also looked in the ASM Metals Handbook but found nothing.

Does anybody have the data, or can point me to where I can find it?

Thanks

It is low carbon steel, don't you just need a B value? Any one for s similar low C steel should work fine.

As a shaft material for rotary equipment, it's magnetic properties are secondary.

The alloy was not designed as a magnetic material, as such its magnetic properties are likely not in control. B-H curves, especially at low fields, vary greatly with manufacturing process, even batch-to-batch within the same process. Even if someone gives you a curve, it may not be representative. valid way is to run a B-H curve for your material to get the data.
