Would a high inlet and 1st stage pressure be indicative of blade deposits? What other facors or operational practices would cause this? Any mre information required, pls contact me.

Sounds like a college assignment question to me! Any diagram with this? THe question doesn't make sense as there is not enough information.

It could be indicative that your nozzle block (or at one half of it) is in backwards. Saw that happen once but it was right after major maintenance. You haven't given enough level of detail to be able to determine that.

How much higher a pressure are you trying to analyze?

What is your output power change that does/does not correspond to the perceived change in inlet & 1st stage pressure?

Have changed anything else: from the water treatment/lack of treatment to the pumps to the boiler to the valve program or control valve? have you done any recent maintenance - anywhere in the system? I found once a complete pipe support set wrapped around the 3rd and 4th stage blades of a HP turbine that had come from a vender working inside pipes upstream of the control valves .... Yeah - THAT little bit of blockage caused some dp changes.
