I am trying to do a verification model of a simple two piece assembly I exported in parasolid and created glued contact surfaces. I performed a hand calculation and the results do not match. Furthermore there is a large thermal gradient thru the contact region. When I model the assembly as single single part and perform same analysis the results have good correlation. Any thoughts as to why the contact region would not be more isothermal thru the surface in question? I have refined the mesh and have same results. I am fairly certain the contact region is the root cause to the error. Any thoughts as to why.
