I am looking for a table that shows the grade of stainless steel bolts or studs in grade 188 giving the tensile and shear capacity for 3/8" diameter. Can some one provide me with a reference? also, I am trying to locate the equation for "thread stripping area" ( I have not seen this title before.

Thank you in advance.

More informative this one. Browse all the way down to find bolt tables. Link

thank you retired13.

Can you locate a reference for the Internal thread stripping area and external stripping Area? I saw the equations from Federal standard H28 but they are cumbersome. There has to be a table developed. Do you know of any?

Thanks again.

That's the thing I couldn't find. Try contact a supplier, he/she might willing to help.

I found another two sources that might be useful, you may contact either one or both for more information. Also, for a quick estimating purpose, you may consider use AISC bolt table (for A307 bolt), but plug in strength for stainless steel.
