Hello,

How to properly perform a 1-D statistical stackup analysis considering Virtual Condition and Datum Shift included in the contributors, taking into account that the assembly would be biased due to gravity, per my understanding in cases like this the assembly shift will always be at its worst case. Does anyone have any material on this?

gonzaef,

Biased assembly is discussed in the book Mechanical Tolerance Stackup and Analysis by Bryan Fischer. I learned most of what I know about tolerance stackup from Bryan's book and from teaching his courses years ago.
