Hi, im making a 8x8 meter quadratic spreader beam that i was thinking of making in HUP profiles. It will hang from 4 steel wire connected to the corners. What element types should i choose in ANSYS 13?

For the wire you can use link180 elements. For the beams use beam188 or 189 either way it will give you the same solution.

Thanks for the answer. It is much appreciated.
Do you also got any tips on where to put the displacement, i was thinking about ALL DOF in top of the wires, but i cant figure out where to put the one for the frame so it doesnt rotate.
