I am in need of a specification or standard that I can use to call-out a matte black spray paint on my drawing.

I have performed a search on Assist and the best I could come up with is A-A-2787. Do you know of any other military or commercial specs for spray paint?

Thanks.

Sorry to be pedantic, but do you mean a solvent-borne polymeric coating?

I'm talking about Rustoleum. That's what is being used now as a touch-up but it is not called for on the drawing. I can't just say Rustomleum in the parts list, I need to find a spec or some other generic definition for spray paint so I can use alternatives and go out for competitive bidding. By speccing Rustoleum only, I'm pigeon-holed into that type/brand which is not acceptable practice.

A-A-2787 looks good to me.
