Greetings all!

Is it possible to build a studio spline of a given length, not using Routing application? I know it is possible in Routing, but is it possible in a plain modeling mode?

To a certain extent, yes. There's no real problem defining the length of a spline so as to be a certain value or to even parametrically update it by editing an expression, just that the spline will only get shorter or longer, but there will be no real control over the final shape, it will just be as if you had cut it off or added some arbitrary extension. What version of NX are you running?

Hello John!

The version that I mean is 8.5, but would be interested to know about the solution for 9.0 as well, if it is any different!

Attached is a Part file with a spline where the length is controlled by the expression 'Length'. Note that you can still change the shape of the underlying curve by editing the 'Spline' feature.

OH, and while the above example was done using NX 8.5, this works the same in NX 9.0.
