Speeding up Tweeks?

Anyone have a tip on how to speed up the first tweek of a presentation? I have an assembly with roughly 12000 parts and it took 4 1/2hrs to tweek the first part (I turned the visibility off of all parts and assemblies that I could). I did the next 12 tweeks in about an hour after.

This appears to be a very common thing here. I'm gonna have to start bringing in a novel or something!

Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff,

Welcome to the club. Our files are that large too. We've found that the first tweek is the most important. First of all, when you open a new presentation file save it to it's folder without anything in it and then save it again once you bring in a design view from a .iam file. Your first tweek should be a very simple one such as moving a single nut a few inches. After this, the next tweeks should be quicker. The only good thing about long tweeks is the ability to catch up on some sleep.
