Specifying Light Intensity in Renderings

I'm looking at some lights for the cabin of what used to be a business jet. As I look through information from lighting vendors, specifically the intensity of various lights, I wonder if it's possible to use something like "118 foot-candles at 36 inches" to create renderings of what the lights might look like when installed.
