I hope to go to SolidWorks World this time but not sure yet as the expenses will be too high for me if I want to go on my own.[sadeyes][sadeyes]

Would love to go, but almost certain that I could never get it approved through work right now and I just don't have the kind of cash to send myself.

I may not even be on subscription by that time. A purchase of Modo401 would be a much better value than subscription "services" in my case. Less expensive, too.

One of our users would like to go so he can tell everybody what he thinks of SW's ability to manage large assemblies. [hairpull3]

I'll be there, too.

Chris,

Even if you don't get to go, you can still meet up with us there! :) Hey, there are several options for SWW, including the exhibit hall pass. Those are technically $200, but are often available for free from one source or another. It's not the whole experience (no breakout or morning sessions), but it's better than nothing.

Two advantages are that attendence can be classified under education, so it is part of career development; and no travel is needed for you, so it's not a travel expense!

Wow, $800, $900, or $1,000, depending on when you sign up. Seems a bit steep, but I've not been to one of these. Out of all those going, who is paying out-of-pocket to do so (adding transportation and lodging costs)?

We own the business so basically my associates and I would pay my way. I think I'll hold out until SWW comes to West Michigan. Hey - could happen. We've had two record years for snow fall in a row (100"+). Doesn't that sound better than sunny California or Florida? I think the week of SWW08 the temps were single digit without considering wind chill. I can't wait....

I have paid my own way to SWW in the past and would do it again in the future if needed. I know several folks you pay their own way.

Cheers,
