According to Solidworks Vista's FAQ, it will not run on Windows Vista 64bit Edition.

Has this been addressed yet? If not, does anyone know if they are working on it?

Thanks

I am sure they are... after all almost all vista boxes are 64-bit and even though they say its not supported... I know many that are running the beta version of it on 64-bit

But SW08 is suppose to full support vista... so I guess the answer is "Yes they are!"

Thank you.

Any idea when SW08 is supposed to be out?

I've heard/read somewhere that there won't be a 64bit version of Solidworks for 64bit Vista until Solidworks 2009. Can't remember where I read that.

I noticed there is no option to download a 64bit vista version of Solidworks on the 2008 beta site.

I can't believe that they are not working on a 64-bit Version of SW. I just bought my parents a new computer and it was Vista OS... The only thing that they had was a 64-bit Vista. So I don't see how SW is not going to support it in 08.

So maybe the answer is questionable?

Don't know for sure....just speculation at this point. Like I said, I read it somewhere...then the beta seems to support it. Of course, beta is far from over....so who knows.
