Hi, all. Recently i have started to do simulations in Solidworks 2011. At work i must simulate pressure/force momentum.. on one of our products. I am new at this, thus i came here for help.

Am i doing right? what is the procedure for this type of simulation. (look under project tree on video)

Problem is described in my video ( i am not promoting anything/anyone or so, by providing this link):

P.S.: i may need to get some more help in the recent future :D but for now, this is my main obstacle. I am stuck.

please help its a bit urgent :D and thank you

I'm not an expert at simulation but my best guess would be that your fixed geometry is not creating a stable analysis. That warning sounds to me like there is an unconstrained force and the assembly is either rotating or sliding.

hey, thank you for advices. I have found that, when i manualy set: under "connections" (contact set) with no penetration it give me that error. Probably because i have not defined it properly. What i did is, deleted all that manual connections (on my video at 3 seconds left on the "tree structure") and used only: component contact / global contact (with no penetration) it comes by default. My PC took about 45 min to calculate it, but hey, it worked!

All i need to do is now, define for each contact friction. (hard when its used only global contact)

will ask in simulation section. Did not even know about that section :D

anyway ill ask here for one more advice.

in this video the image will be clearer of what i am about to ask:

Here you can see the springs. One is bigger, and there are two simetrical smaller springs. All are under stress and under elastic deformation. forces, pressure...

I dont know how to simulate them. Must i leave them in this position and define preapplyed Internal Tension, or leave them in original position and somehow put them under pressure/force. I dont know how to express it, sorry. Hope its understandable.

What i mean, how would you began to study/simulate those springs? big one got only horizontal force applyed, the small ones got momentum force applyed.

THX, M.
