I made a simple layout sketch and blocks to show the motion of a piston. In the layout sketch, all the members move as they should. The horizontal member remains fixed, the angled bar pivots, and the piston moves vertically.
I made parts from each block. At first, when I went to move the parts, they behaved much like the layout sketch. However, I don't know what happened, but now the parts move independently of the layout sketch. If I drag them, their motion is not constrained. Yet, a rebuild snaps them back to the layout sketch. Likewise, if I move the layout sketch and rebuild, the parts will snap accordingly. It's just the actual part motion that no longer works and I have no idea why.
Can anyone help? SW 2008 assembly model linked below.
