Solidworks and Netware 5.1

I am having a performance issue with Solidworks 2001 patched to the latest and storeing files on a Novell Netware 5.1 (Sp3) Server.... When I try to access a drawing from the Server it takes about 3 to 5 minutes to open and if I open the same file from the local Disk drive (C:) it takes about 10 to 18 seconds..... this only happens in
Solidworks.... I can not find a answer anywhere....
