I cant see SolidWorks 2D Emulator in my Tools > Addin. Whats wrong?

I guess, SW must have dropped this one, but didn't remove from the help files :)

I remember the AutoCAD-like emulator, but I think that was way back in SW05.

Have you read faq731-376 to make the best use of these Forums?
 
No it is still be available. I have never used it, but it is in my Tools > Add-ins section.
 
Hmm, I'm not seeing in my Tools>Add-Ins either.

So it appears that it comes only with Premium versions of SW.

Nope, I only have Standard. Well, actually it's Standard plus PW/PV and Feature Recognition modules ... so maybe not considered true Standard.
 
I read this on the solidworks user forum :

The 2D "AutoCad" Emulator is not avalible/installed on X64 machines. So while it still remains in the help documentation, if your computer and SolidWorks install is X64 you will not have the option.

THe emulator causes lots of issues when turned on. You can't do certain things while in a sketch and causes some real hardship for users when they can't do the same SW functions like they used to.

I wish they would remove this add-in it does do anything good that I have ever seen.
