Hi,
I tried to install SolidWorks 2009 Beta 1 but the same would not work on my system. I asked my reseller and he told that it will not work on a system already having any version of SolidWorks. I tried uninstalling the same but I am unable to do so. It gives an error:
"Error 1722. There is a problem with this windows installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action Unregister_i386_SldSheelExtServerExe, location: C:\Program Files\SolidWorks 2009 Beta 1\sldShellExtServer.exe, Command: sldshellextserver.exe /UNREGSERVER"
I had SW 2007 & 2008 on my system. I uninstalled these and tried but still get the same error. I have removed all related registry files but what ever I do I am unable to uninstall SW 2009 Beta 1. The error 1722 persists.

I have now installed SolidWorks 2008 SP4.0
When I try to use Pack & Go, I get an error "Could not load SolidWorks DLL"

Is there any solution for this? Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks,
RKam

Rockguy,
I feel like doing that many a times!!!
At present I am unable to install SW 2009 plus it is also affecting my SW 2008! I am unable to use pack & go and I don't know what other problems I will come across.
I am also not sure if this is windows xp related or SW related. The error of course shows this as SW registry problem.
At present I have wasted lots of time and energy on this. Final option would be to format the drive & reinstall windows xp. Then reinstall SW fresh.
Regards,
RKam

Looks like you need to start submitting SR's on the Beta site and emailing SolidWorks Beta tech support. They are fairly responsive, though answers sometimes take things for granted.
