I have loaded solidworks 2007 and I am trying to add my spaceball 5000. I do not see the spaceball in tools/add-ins. Is there a new way to add it in this version?

Please don't duplicate threads, your other one is only 5 days old.

That was for 2006. I just loaded 2007.

Ahh, OK ... you didn't mention the version in the other thread.

I assume you didn't get it to work with SW06?

[cheers]

I did get it to work in '06 using tools add-ins. Now that I try the same technique in '07 its not shown. So I was wondering what I have been doing wrong.

Did you do a fresh install of SW07 or just an upgrade?

Did you re-install the Spaceball software after installing SW07?

[cheers]

It was a fresh install of SW07 and service packs up to 2.2.

No I had the spaceball installed before the install of SW07.

The same question applies here, did you download the latest drivers for this Spaceball? I am using the Spaceball 5000 USB in SW07 and it worked with SW automatically. If the Spaceball did not automatically sync up with SW, then go to Tools > Add-ins and make sure the 3DControl is checked.

SW07 SP2.0

I solved the problem by uninstalling the spaceball and reinstalling it after I upgraded to SW07.
