SolidEdge files did open in SolidWorks (2006) 1

I have SolidEdge files did open in SolidWorks (2006) but the mates did not. Is this normal? Or, is there a setting within SolidWorks that needs to be toggled to import the mates?

As far as I know, mates will not[/i] be imported.
