I am looking at stress calculations covering solder-shear stresses for surface mounted (SMT) components
on a PWB that is subjected to thermal and/or vibration loading.
I would appreciate receiving the following information/details:
1) Typical equations/formulae that can be used for quickly calculating shear-stresses on solder
material as related to surface mounted components.
2) Any references (articles, books,etc.) that cover the stresses as related to surface mounted components.
