Soil Testing Reading Material Recommendation

I am about to go out to a project site for my first "soil testing" training experience and I don't want to show up not having an idea of what I am about to do. I am looking for books or web articles recommendations specially focused on "hydrologic soils". I would like to have an idea of what I should be looking for, what types of soils I could find, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
