I AM MAKING SUBGRADE FOR A ROAD WIDENING AND HAVE A LOT OF EXISTING UTILITIES IN AND JUST BELOW SUBGRADE. I HAVE THE ROAD GUTTED OUT AND THE GRADE IS PUMPING.

LIME TREAT IS NOT POSSIBLE, WHAT ARE THE BEST METHODS. I AM GOING TO ATTEMPT TO REP THE AREAS TOMORROW WITH A SKIP LOADER, A BLADE WONT FIT IN THE AREA.

I WILL PROBABLY GO TO FABRIC AND GEOGRID, JUST LOOKING TO SEE IF THERE ARE ANY OTHER SOLUTIONS.

"EXISTING UTILITIES IN AND JUST BELOW SUBGRADE"...sounds like you'll need to be "bridging" (i hate that word) over crappy utility backfill. best way: probably dig out the upper 2-3'+ (or as much as possible) of the crappy backfill and replace with something good. i'm guessing that fabric or grid will help but not fix if it's that bad that shallow. i guess if you've a foot or two play in the grades, then you could probably make it work. from my experience with this sort of scenario, it's usually cheaper and about as easy to just dig it out by hand and replace with well compacted fill or extra base course.
