Can someone recommend software for structural analysis and design?

ETABS & STAAD are two softwares I have worked with and they are both extremely reliable and easy to operate.

a bit O.T. : anyone has info on reliability of on-cloud software "SKYCIV" ??

Pablo, this question is really broad. So broad, in fact, that it sounds like you haven't tried to look into this yourself. If you had, you would have found that there are more pieces of software than can be easily counted, each with its own features and purpose. ETABS and STAAD are good, powerful pieces of software. But if you're designing houses, apartment buildings, or strip shopping centers those will be utterly useless for you.

It's pretty good. I used it a few years ago, and I didn't have many complaints. As a small tech startup, their customer service was superb. It was a young piece of software, though, and while it worked well enough for the small projects at my previous employer it really didn't make sense for the firm I started when I left. That may have changed, though. They have an account here on eng-tips, and they'll likely pop in to answer some questions if you have them.

robyengIT,
I've been using SkyCiv 3D for about a year now. Its a solid program.
