Hi Gents & Ladies
I am an industrial design working on a new project that is outside my skill set. My client has requested that his product be made from a soft promotional toy that the users can squeeze. Once squeezed, the internal part of the toy will protrude outwards from a small cutout on the external part. I have attached a similar product (link) that I am interested to design something similar
Link
The external part is soft PVC
Questions:
How would the external part be made? gas guided injection mould?
What material is the Gel (soft stretchy & squishy material)?
How would this Gel be inserted into the PVC external part through a small hole (this seems to be a stupid question)
How is colour applied on the external PVC? such as the eyes, patterns etc... is this done during the moulding process?
Im still new to this process so I would appreciate any help/advise you can provide me.
Many thanks
