We have a large NaOCL tank with magnetic driven pumps that are feeding our cooling towers via cpvc lines. The pumps are operating at 80 psi. I would like to tap off this existing system to chlorinate our RO feed tank. I would like to install a control valve in the new NaOCL line to the feed tank that opens when the RO Feed water tank valve opens. The NaOCL flow rate needed to react with the RO Feed water is 0.4gpm. I do not want much restrictions in the line such as a needle valve. I would like to have a small ID line that would allow 0.4gpm. However, the pump pressure is too high and the flow cannot get low enough. Does anyone know of a good pressure regulating valve as well as a control valve that would work with for this application? Or is there an easier way to do this?
