Snow Loads in Denver CO 1

Are there any Colorado P.E. 's that have calculated the ground snow load for Denver?

I have a client that wants a structure in downtown Denver, Colorado. Figure 7-1 of the ASCE-7 2005 (Minimum Design Loads) appears to show Denver in the region where a site specific study is required to determine the snow loads.

Great link.

You can zip right to the Chapter 16 info and see that the ground snow load is just 25 psf.

That's interesting (25 psf) because the rest of the surrounding municipalities are usually designed for 30 psf, but there it is in black and white, can't argue with that.

Read it again. It does not say that 25 psf is for the ground snow load. It says that the roof should be designed for a 25 psf load which equates to approximately a 35 psf ground snow load.
