Snap View in Catia

While working on an Assembly, Catia revealed something curious: while trying to rotate the geometry with my mouse the view snapped to X,Y AND Z (similar action by manually clicking on the X,Y and Z of the Compass).
I do not know how I got that.....
Could somebody explain how is that possible? Is there any tool for applying this "snap"?
