Hello,
I'm involved with a slow sand filtration plant that treat's an oligotrophic source water. A few years ago a 'front-end' was added and this has further reduced the available TOC available to the microbial populations within the beds. This year I was asked to investigate increasing bacterial counts coming off some of the beds (although all is okay now !). I'm interested in speaking to anyone who has a similar sourcee water. Additionally it has become evident that there needs to be repair work on the under drains and I'm looking at materials to replace the pre existing metal grids.
cheers..........Chris
