I have to build a 22 ft long rectangular slab supported only along the 22 ft sides. It is unsupported for 21 inches normal to the long sides. Both short side ends will be unsupported.

This is a residential entrance/porch and will have a grouted 2 inch brick veneer over the top.

What steel reinforcement will I need for this?
What thickness should this slab be? (I have approximately 9 inches clear for depth.

Thanks!

design process
use 60 psf live load
TL=DL+LV
assume thkness
balance Fs=Fc
check defection

Charles be strigent on your deflection since you are installing a veneer on top.. Say Def<L/480
