sizing of a rc frame

My question is how can you derive the dimensions of a rc frame.I have my dead loads and imposed loads but i dont know which codes to use.If you know any good books plz let me know.Its a frame with 18 m span .

The code to use would depend upon where your structure is located. The governing jurisdiction (city, county, etc) would identify its model code to use.
