Size tolerance: part measure from a flat surface (I am indicating the height of a part). Is this a correct statement?
How about thickness of a part?

Everyone will want to know if you are talking about the ASME standard or ISO standards. Each system would yield a different answer.

You are not providing enough information. A sketch would be very helpful.

The terms size, height, thickness and tolerance have different meanings. A measurement is not a tolerance. And depending on how the part is positioned on the flat surface, the measurement could be a height, length or width.

It can also be parallelism or even flatness :)
