Hi everyone,

Does anyone have experience with the occurrence of sink marks in injection molded silicone?
Are there any design guidelines specifically for silicone or is its behavior similar to thermoplastics?
Are there any other deformations that happen differently in silicone as they do for plastics?

Thanks!

Ralph

All polymers shrink when they cure, or cool from melt temperature. The trick is to force the shrinkage into a location where it is not noticeable, through part or process design.
