Hi! I'm working on my thesis about designig and building an hydraulic press, working with proe wildfire 2.0. My problem is thiscan i do a simulation of an assembly of steel and aluminium together, i need a security factor of aproximately 2. The materialstructure of the press is steel A-36 but the other material parts are made of aluminiun. Can I analyse that?

The internal pressure of the cylinder is 7,56 Mpa. the other force is 22500N<IMG src="uploads/IMKeidy/2007-07-19_105507_an

HI,

you are trying any contact related physics / individual parts failure rate..

you can do analyses with different materials easily. just assign the corresponding material properties to each component in the assembly.

thanks a lot. I did that but i had to know if proe take those materials as an alloy. Did you see the pic that i loaded, if i put the aluminium part like that my security factor is 2 but if i use a simulation region, von mises increases and mi security factor falls. That's why i made the assembly. Thanks a lot for answering me
