Dear all
I have two plates connected with 6 bolts, 3 on each side. the top plate lifts the bottom plate during a material handling process, now that i want to verify the stiffness and deflection of the top plate while lifting the bottom plate, i thought of performing an analysis in ansys.
I came across various resources to simulate bolt condition, some mentioned nodal coupling. Has anybody have gone through such a problem, if yes, pls giv me your feedback. My objective is only to find the amount of deflection in the top plate.
