Hello All,
I am simulating a bolted assembly in ANSYS. I applied bolt preload in first step and external load (force) in second step.
When I check the sectional forces and moments on the bolt on the plane where preload is applied and the plane away from the preload plane are different.
As I move away from the plane, where preload is applied the moment on the bolt is increasing.
Bolt axis is in Z direction.
Bending moments, Mx and My vary a lot in different plane.
I want to know to validate the bolt, where I need to extract the sectional forces and moments.
