Sizeable magnitude earthquake in south-west China today: Link

Fortunately, significantly less magnitude and death toll than the 8.0-magnitude earthquake on May 12, 2008 that killed nearly 4,700 people in Qingchuan county, in Sichuan province.

 
...little more tha a tremor... They are still in the process of cleaning up...

I used to do business west of Chengdu in Sichuan.
I visited a customer there in the spring of '08.
The '08 earthquake leveled the facility and killed hundreds on that site alone.

Probably because there were no structures to fail in the remote area, Dik. Looks like landslides killed quite a few people.

I think in most parts of the world that magnitude earthquake is considered a lot more than a tremor. Just because you live in the shaky part...
