I am an architectural designer and not a structural engineer. I have a large metal building warehouse with small attached areas that are 18 gauge steel stud construction with insulated metal panel cladding. Lateral forces require a shear wall application in a couple of these stud framed appendages. Cross bracing is not possible due to penetrations. It is essential that Type II construction (sprinklered) requirements be maintained so I am assuming I cannot use OSB sheathing. A looming deadline does not allow time for me to thoroughly research and educate myself to options. Any help?
