What are you trying to cover? A decorative pottery piece or outdoor stove? A indoor-but-wet surface like a toilet or bathtub? A stovetop utensil?

Shear strength snd ceramics don't usually go together: The typical-by-definition ceramic is very strong but extremely brittle. Glazing covers the ceramic, and so doesn't add anything really to the (lack of) shear strength of the assembly overall.

Thank you very much for your reply.
I am trying to cover window panels. Because I noticed that window panels are damaged due to the impact of windborne debris by making a hole at the point of contact. So I think the reason behind is punching shear failure. If I can find shear strengh of glazing panels then I can find allowable limit of force that can be sustained without occuring punching shear failure.
