Serious question on what your left hand is doing.

I took some classes on solidworks 4 years ago. Used it for what we needed, and promptly forget it all... (stupid brain...)

Now that I'm in the process of re-learning it through the course tools I was supplied, I find my left hand is NOT as busy as it was on the keyboard when at the school, and when I returned home on the project.

Whatever methods the teacher used are NOT what I am re-teaching myself. My left hand is seldom doing anything more than hitting the space bar for orientation. Mouse hand is busy...busy...busy...

The easy humor of it aside, what processes should I be doing with my left hand to make my job easier?
