I'm searching for technical references, spreadsheets and advice that will help investigate the following proposed application. A vertical tank has an ammonia-laden air atmosphere trapped in it. Concentration of NH3 is about 2 volume %. The tank has water spray nozzles in the top head. The idea is to spray water through the contents (no materials leave the tank) until the vapor content is below the odor threshold of ammonia (5 ppm). I have the ammonia-water VLE data, so I know the quantity of water needed. The questions I need to investigate are - how much time is needed, effects of water droplet size, how fast or slow to spray water, is water recycle to spray nozzles required, etc.
Good luck,
