Selecting variables in assembly optimization study

Hi, I'm kind of new to ProE/Mechanica.
I can do a stress analysis on a very simple assembly and it works properly.
The assembly consists of two cylinders, one inside the other one (which is hollow). I created both parts by creating a sketch, drawing a circle and then extruding.
Like I said, I can do stress analysis with no problem, so I can mate the parts, apply loads and constrains, and see the stresses and deformations.
Now I am trying to do an Optimization Study, which I have done before on a single part. But now when I try to define the variables to modify and click on the "Select Dimension from model" button, I can't select any of the radius, I can only select the extrude lenghts.
With a single part what I had to do is select the sketch and then it would show me and let me select the radius. But in assembly mode I can't go into details of the parts.

Does anybody know what I am doing wrong? I'm short on time and I'm starting to get desperate. So I'd really appreciate any help!
Thank you in advance.

You might try creating a parameter to drive the diameter then use the new parameter for the optimization study.

What you might also be able to try is to use thicken sketch. Because it seems you can not select sketch dimensions but you are able to select feature dimensions. I have tried out your problem on my own computer and I was able to select sketch dimensions so it is strange you are ubable to.
