'select many' option in pro/e drawing 1

I am looking for a command to be added in drawing, if you have to delete many things at once. I am using 2001, proe gives option to select one objet only. You can use shift to pick many objects but that takes lot of time.

If all the items you want to select are near eachother dragging a window over them, which will select everything insode the window and unselecting items you don't want may be easier. This doesn't work in all situations either though.

This mightwork for the proe generated drawings. Suppose if you Import the drawing as IGES/dxf. Dragging a window does not work. Neither do the show/erase option.
you can not use the window option in 2001, as it used to be in the older version.

There is a 2000i2 Mapkey that was created to allow modifying multiple dimensions using Pick Many

It was printed in an issue of Profiles Magazine
mapkey $F7 @MAPKEY_NAME Drag Window To Modify Dimensions;\
@MAPKEY_LABELModify_Dimensions_Many;#MODIFY;#DIMENSION; #PICK MANY

-So maybe if you change it to
mapkey $F7 @MAPKEY_NAME Delete Many;\
@MAPKEY_LABELDelete_Many;#DELETE; #PICK MANY

it might work

In Drawing Mode From the pull down menu select
Edit=> Cut => Pick Many
Rest is pretty much self explanatory.

Pro/e saves the picked entities on the clip board in case you want to paste it at other places.

Utilities/Customize Screen/ Open the "Commands" tab, choose "Drawing" and look for the icon with the rectangle with an "x" in the upper left corner (7th icon over from upper left). Drag the "Delete one or more drawing objects" icon to your Pro/E menu and place it where you think convenient. By holding your cursor over the icons, the description of what the icon does will appear or show you what it does in your Pro/E text window.
Please note: "Automatically save to" will be checked or should be checked. You might have to change where it is saving your "config.win". The "config.win" must be in your Pro/E startup directory in order to load at Pro/E startup.

The icon with an "x" in the upper left corner is your best friend.
