Dear All,

I'm trying to model a 7 storey RCC building with quake loading pattern as per IS 1893 2002. I have used automatic load combination. Here I oberved that the total reaction at the support(at base/foundation) is almost satisfactory to sum of seismic weight obtained from manual calculation for Dead load case. however the sum of horizontal reactions at base, base reaction on analysis result(EQx or EQy load cases) are not equal to base shear from manual calculation. I presume they should be equal. Please someone clarify if I am wrong or right.

thanks in advance

regards

yes it must be equal
may be you have a wrong with total weight in Sap..
