Hi,

I have performed a seismic analysis in ANSYS v6, but am confused as to the methodology.

My understanding is (i) perform static analysis (ii) modal (iii) response spectrum analysis (this is where the confusion lies) - what exactly happens here: when does the CQC and SRSS take place, and what do these things do? what does the .mcom file do exactly?

PLEASE HELP!

You can have a look at the manuals. There some seismic problems are given.
