Customer [Thermal power] had provided Minimum Seismic coefficient 0.28g horizontal & 1.0g vertical & how to check structural integrity of 2” Globe & Check valve when subjected to Seismic force please,

Well, navy (marine) centrifugal separators for mine-sweepers and other vessels have been dropped from 15 meters down to concrete surface and tested afterwards, required to be fully operational….

0.28g horizontal & 1.0g vertical seem a bit odd. Usually the horizontal is larger than the vertical.

The EQ force the valves bodies will see will be from self mass and the mass of the attached piping. The valve supplier can not work out the mass of the attached pipe.
