So, we have a vendor who is proposing to perform the seismic testing on one production valve and then ship that to us along with 3 other identical valves.
The other 3 valves would be deemed as seismically qualified by default, as they are identical to the tested valve. I know that in the Code it says one cannot ship the tested valve to the client, but recommends doing the test on a prototype (identical) valve rather. But I cannot find the specific clause - whether ASME III or QME or CSA N289. Would someone know?
